Gangetic Dolphin Habitat on the Ganga
The Vikramshila Gangetic Dolphin Sanctuary is a protected stretch of the Ganga in the Bhagalpur region. Bihar Tourism describes the sanctuary as extending from Sultanganj to Kahalgaon and notes that it was designated in 1991 for conservation of the Gangetic dolphin.
